Apple attacks Windows 7 in 3 new ads

Today was the official launch of Windows 7, Microsoft’s long awaited “Vista fix up OS.” While I’m still waiting to get a student discount on the super expensive operating system, Apple has come out with 3 new ads that attack Windows 7.

Windows 7: It’s a-coming!

We recently put the release candidate of Windows 7 through its paces, and we have to say, we’re impressed. But when does it hit the shelves? Microsoft claimed that Windows 7 would be “available to customers in time for the holiday shopping season.” In a nutshell: this year. We can’t wait!

GarageBand for Windows

All Macs come with GarageBand, which allows you to mix and match music loops to create your own masterpieces. What if you’re on Windows? Or Linux? Thankfully, LMMS lets you do just the same.

Add Thumbnails to Taskbar Tooltips

In Windows Vista, you can pause your mouse over an item in the taskbar and you get a visual tooltip, showing what’s actually going on inside that program. For Windows XP, you can install a free program called Visual Task Tips to do the same. Awesome.
